MOVING

I still can't believe it!  I know everyone who hears is shocked, including us!  No, we were NOT planning to move but here we go.  God has other plans.  Six or seven weeks ago, Brian's Dad was talking to us about putting an elevator in our house, or some kind of lift to get Jaron upstairs to bed.  He is a whopping 30 pounds and 3 1/2 years old now!  We didn't think we'd even have one whole year with our precious boy and now we are needing to prepare for many more, Lord willing.

But this is the house that Brian built!  We LOVE our house!  I had NO desire to leave this home.  When we built the house 7 years ago, I wasn't sure we'd be able to stay in it because, at the time, we couldn't afford a refinance that was inevitable.  But God had other plans and we have been so thankful!  Our children have been raised here.  We have been working on projects just this year, such as putting in a sprinkler system in the front and backyard, redecorating/painting all 3 kid's bedrooms, Brian built a bird's nest loft bed with an enclosed book nook below for Lukas, and we added a rock wall to the kid's play structure.  We have always dreamed of having a bigger yard to play in on a less busy street to ride bikes etc.  But moving was not OUR plan.

Then, about a month ago, I stood in the workshop with Lee and Brian and he told us we needed to be open to moving if God provided a place.  I wasn't sure what being "open" without actually "looking" was supposed to look like, but Papa Lee had an idea.  He talked to a long-time realtor friend of the Albaugh family about all our unique needs.  We needed a one-level house, ultimately, and house repairs would not be an issue because Brian can fix it all.  Garry, the realtor, immediately knew the house and took Lee and Brian to see it.  Brian sent me a few pictures on my phone and said he was making an offer.  WHAT?!  I said "Ok," because that's just the way I am.  I trust Brian and his Dad and God's greater plan COMPLETELY!

That was 36 days ago.  We have keys, there is some paint on the walls, we bought a rug for the living room, a tree fell on the roof during the big storms last weekend (no damage)... and we are moving in 15 days!  It's just now starting to sink in.  I will post pictures and give more new house details soon...

Here's to our next big adventure!
